Hello, and thanks for checking this page. WorkLyft runs worklyftly.com. We gather home-based openings from employers, share them with people living in Australia, and hand each application to the employer the applicant is interested in. We are the link in the middle; the employer is the one who hires. Here is an honest account of the information that passes through us, written to meet the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We use a WhatsForm form (whatsform.com/siln6d) called "Australia Jobs Application Form". You will find it lower down our homepage, and it also opens in a pop-up from the Apply buttons. It asks seven things:
We do not collect anything else through the form.
Each time a page opens, our host logs routine details: IP address, browser and device, the page, the page before it, and the time. These keep the site running and safe. We never connect them to a particular applicant.
Passwords, login codes, bank logins, BSB, account or card numbers, tax file numbers and photos of ID documents have no place in an application. We never ask for them. If they arrive, we delete them. If someone claiming to be WorkLyft asks for them, please tell us.
So a real person can read your application, reply on WhatsApp (or email when WhatsApp does not connect), and send your details to the employer offering the opening you chose. We also note what we sent and when, in case you ask about it later.
We do not sell them, rent them or trade them. We do not sign you up for newsletters or offers. If another employer would like to see your application, we ask you before sharing it.
The employer for your chosen opening receives it, along with a note that WorkLyft made the introduction and the employer is doing the hiring. Apart from that, only the providers below handle it, unless the law requires us to disclose it.
Each provider has its own terms and privacy policy.
We run Google Analytics under ID G-8ZXE753F0L on our pages and in the form, and a Google Ads tag under ID AW-18233504958. Together they tell us how many people visit, where they came from, which pages they read, their rough location and device, and whether the form was used. We do not pass your name, email address or phone number to Google, and we do not use remarketing lists, Customer Match or enhanced conversions. You can manage Google ad personalisation in your Google account.
There are two steps. First you send the form. Then WhatsApp opens with a message ready to go to our HR team, and your application is finished once you press Send. You can edit the message, and nothing goes until you tap Send. The form answers themselves reach WhatsForm as soon as you submit.
The Google tags set cookies to tell new visits from returning ones and to connect a visit to an advert. The form may use a cookie so it works, and Cloudflare may use one to spot bots. You can block or delete cookies in your browser and still apply.
Our providers operate in many countries, including the United States, so your details may be processed overseas. They apply their own contractual and security safeguards, and we take reasonable steps under the Australian Privacy Principles before any overseas disclosure.
Twelve months from the last time you were in touch, after which the application is deleted. Server logs are cleared within thirty days, and backups within a further thirty days.
We use HTTPS throughout, and only our HR staff can open applications, through their own accounts. If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will contain it quickly and let you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner know, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
After an introduction, the employer keeps its own copy under its own privacy policy. Your WhatsApp chat lives with Meta and on your phone. Our deleting a record does not reach those.
Email careers@worklyftly.com to see what we hold, correct it, delete it or withdraw your application. We reply within thirty days. We cannot undo an introduction that has already happened, but we will let the employer know you have withdrawn.
No software sorts or rejects applicants. People read every application, and employers make their own decisions.
WorkLyft is for people aged eighteen or over. If we find an application from someone younger, we delete it.
Email careers@worklyftly.com and tell us what happened. We will look into it and write back, and if you are still not satisfied, someone else will take a fresh look.
Only from you, through the form, WhatsApp and email. We do not buy data, use data brokers or look people up on social media.
Moved city or changed your number or email? Drop us a line at careers@worklyftly.com and we will update your details so we can keep in touch.
Our pages link out to WhatsApp and sometimes other sites. Once you leave worklyftly.com, that site's own privacy policy applies.
"Personal information" means information that identifies you, as defined in the Privacy Act 1988. "Employer" means the business behind the opening you chose. "Application" means your form answers plus your WhatsApp message.
Ask us and we will tell you what we sent to an employer about you and when we sent it. There is nothing about your own application we would keep from you.
We update this page before we add a provider or change how we handle your information, and we change the date at the top.
